Vanessa Finney moved from California in 2018, where she’d been teaching in the English department at Santa Monica College. Her first work in Oregon was singing in a jazz duet at Rogue Valley wineries and cafés. She later began producing a short documentary series for SOPBS, “The Work of Art,” and hosting at Jefferson Public Radio.
