Friends of the Animals (FOTAS) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that improves the quality of life for animals in Southern Oregon by facilitating adoptions, medical care, education, and valuable resources to our community.

Volunteers are the life-blood of our organization. We are always looking for more volunteers! FOTAS holds New Volunteer Orientations monthly. Email or call to reserve your seat: fotas@fotas.org | (541) 708-0090.  Seating is limited. www.fotas.org/volunteer

Volunteer opportunities:
Socializing: Cat cuddling, dog walking, and training in foster homes and at the Shelter
Fostering: Providing temporary “home between homes” for young puppies and cats, and for those that are kennel stressed www.fotas.org/foster 
Adoption Counseling: Help adoptive parents find the right pet for their lifestyle
Outreach: Expose more adoptable animals to people outside the Shelter
Fundraising: Raise funds for critical needs, like veterinary care
Publicity: Advertise adoptable pets via social media and advertising

Monthly Low-Cost Vaccination and Microchip Clinics
FOTAS hosts a monthly low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics for cats and dogs. Vaccinations (rabies and distemper combo) are $20 each. Microchips (a permanent form of ID) are $25 each (including a life-time membership). Appointments are required: www.calendly.com/fotas
