Awards and community contributions:

Jonathan Lawton is a proud United States Navy Veteran, having served as a Nuclear Mechanic aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln during Operation Iraqi Freedom. His military service laid the foundation for the discipline, leadership, and commitment that continue to guide his business and community involvement today.

Throughout their 20 years as Grocery Outlet owners, Jonathan and Jennifer Lawton have been honored with multiple “Business of the Year” awards at their previous store locations, recognizing their excellence in operations, customer service, and community leadership.

The Lawtons are also deeply committed to developing people and future leaders. They have successfully trained and mentored 15 employees into Grocery Outlet store ownership, helping create long-term careers and economic opportunity. In addition, they were instrumental in opening one of the first Grocery Outlet stores in the Los Angeles market and played a key role in recruiting and training many owners throughout Southern California.
